Langley Daffodil Craft and Country Fayre

After a foggy start, it turned out to be the perfect sunny Spring day at Langley Daffodil Craft and Country Fayre in Loddon.  After a busy week of sewing, cutting and paper-folding, we finally had enough products to fill a stall ready for the brisk Daffodil Fayre trade!

Our stand was in the ballroom of the school which had the most amazing ceiling!

We shared the ballroom with some other lovely stallholders, including Gail from Sweet As..? who was having her first stall ever.  We succumbed to temptation and bought a selection of her old-fashioned sweets, which are a real treat.

As if sweets weren't enough, we also indulged in some gorgeous cupcakes from The Tempting Cake House which were absolutely delicious!

There was plenty going on outside too, with steam engines, falconry displays, live music and a mobile blacksmith's forge.

Out on a Wing's birds of prey were absolutely stunning.  Although they are all beautiful, secretly the owls were our favourite.

It was wonderful to see a working blacksmith at an outdoor event like this, courtesy of St Mary's Forge.

And lastly, but certainly not least, we rescued a little fellow from a stall of antiques.  He will make a great friend for Gabriel the one-eyed bear!

We're thinking of calling him Scamp, in true Enid Blyton style, what do you think?  LouLou & Will x
