Earsham Hall May Day Fair 2012

Despite the overcast day, the rain held off and we had a great day at the Earsham Hall May Day Fair on Monday.  Annabel, who runs the event on behalf of Earsham Hall, was helpful, friendly and welcoming as always and she made sure we had room for Dolly, our pretty pink campervan.

As well as raising lots of money for Huntington’s Disease Association, there was a lot to see, with entertainment throughout the day.  We do love a quintessentially English Fair and this had all the key ingredients, Punch and Judy, the East Suffolk Morris Men who put on a good show...

...the Wrentham Brass Band providing some wonderful music...

...but our favourite show was the Waggy Tails Dog Agility demonstration - so sweet!

It was lovely to meet some local craftspeople  too.  Anna from Bullrush Art makes delightful personalised pictures and cards and  we have ordered several for family and friends!  Take a look at her new website, where you can order personalised name cards, bookmarks, mounted or framed pictures.

We were also tempted by Heidi's Cute Little Cupcakes, which are utterly delicious.  As well as raspberry and white chocolate cakes (below), there were lemon, chocolate, vanilla and LouLou's all-time favourite flavour, almond and amaretto - absolutely heavenly!  You can find a selection of Heidi's cakes at Marzano's at the Forum in Norwich.

We are now busy getting ready for our next event, a Jubilee Bank Holiday Family Festival, at Coldham Hall in Surlingham.  Hope to see you there... LouLou & Will x

Earsham Hall May Day Country Food and Craft Fair

Recently, we have been busy getting ready for our next event.  There has been lots of cutting, stitching, paper folding and general making as well as cleaning and polishing Dolly, our pretty pink VW campervan, after the soaking she has received over the last few weeks.  It is all in preparation for the Earsham Hall May Day Country Food and Craft Fair which is on Monday 7th May from 10am to 4pm.  This fantastic family event is held annually with this year being their eighth and they will be raising as much money as they can for the Huntington’s Disease Association.

The fair is set in the courtyard and beautiful grounds of Earsham Hall, with food and craft stallholders, exhibitors and performers.  There will be a traditional Punch and Judy show, Waggy Tails Dog Agility demonstration, Broadsview Falconry display, East Suffolk Morris Men and the Wrentham Brass Band, as well as a barbeque and bar, so there really is something for everyone!

Earsham Hall is giving all profits from the day to the Huntington’s Disease Association and will be asking for a small donation of £5 per car at the gate on arrival.  Tickets for the May Fair Raffle will be on sale throughout the day and prizes will be drawn in the afternoon.  We have donated a doormouse door stop to the raffle and you could also win some other fantastic prizes such as Earsham Hall vouchers and examples of local food and crafts!  All proceeds from the gate and the raffle will be going directly to the Huntington’s Disease Association.

We would love to see you there, please pop over to our stall to say hello!  LouLou & Will x
